Get real. (Or are you just promoting a new book?) Twitter is fun and useful, but it’s not that important. This too will pass. How many of you can say that both the person who writes your paycheck and the person who signs it are both using Twitter? Your 12 steps don’t describe my experience very well. 1. I know someone I want to follow. 2. Occasionally I add someone. 3. Occasionally I drop someone. 2.1 Occassionally someone adds me. 3.1 Occasionally someone drops me. I’m sure the experience is varied for so many people.

It’s a cycle that keeps happening, whenever a social media service is introduced. For Twitter case, I’m more like in between 7-11, to and fro? What I think important is to reach a balance. Think the first thing I should do now, is off my Tweedeck and concentrate on leaving this comment. =P

This is a very accurate assessment of the phases many people go through. I’ve been using social media (started on BB’ and prodigy in junior high school) and I guess I have long been in acceptance. I dropped out for a while when I first went to college and became a hippie… tired of being wrapped up in the computer rather than “life” – but I’m back in a big way!
